BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A southwest Idaho man authorities say crashed into a parked Boise police vehicle that had its emergency lights activated has been cited for negligent driving.
The Boise Police Department in a statement Tuesday says the crash occurred about 4 a.m. Saturday on Maple Grove Road.
Police say an officer earlier arrested a different man for drunk driving, and after that observed a possible drunk driver crash nearby.
Additional emergency response vehicles arrived as did a large group of neighbors to see what was happening.
At that point, police say, a southbound sedan on Maple Grove crashed into the back of a police vehicle. It's not clear what caused the crash.
The driver suffered facial injuries and was transported to a hospital. His name hasn't been released.
