LITCHFIELD, N.H. (AP) — Authorities say a man has suffered serious injuries after losing control of a dirt bike while he attempted a jump.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department says 23-year-old Nathan Davan of Hudson was airlifted to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Massachusetts following the crash around 2:45 p.m. Sunday. He and some friends were riding dirt bikes in a pit owned by a paving company in Litchfield when Devan attempted to do a jump.
Authorities say Devan traveled 75 feet in the air before losing control. The dirt bike traveled 148 feet before coming to rest.
He was wearing a helmet and goggles when the accident occurred. His condition was not immediately known.
