49ers Vernon Davis, Anthony Davis hurt again

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has left Sunday's game against the Eagles early in the third quarter with a back injury.

Davis made s 5-yard catch in the flat and as he was being pulled down by one defender he was struck in the back by another and went down in pain. He got up holding his back, then went back down hurting before he was helped to the locker room clearly uncomfortable. Davis had returned this week after sitting out last Sunday's loss at Arizona with a left ankle injury.

Right tackle Anthony Davis was lost to a second-quarter left knee injury while making his season debut. He missed the first three games with a hamstring injury. He was hurt when Colin Kaepernick took a sack into the back of Davis' knee.
