METAIRIE, La. (AP) — The New Orleans Saints say reserve defensive tackle John Jenkins did not travel with the club to Dallas.
The Saints are not saying why Jenkins remained behind beyond saying the decision is not injury related.
Jenkins, who had an offseason pectoral injury, has appeared in only one of New Orleans' first three games and does not have a tackle.
The second-year pro out of Georgia, taken in the third round of the 2013 draft, played throughout his rookie season, but this season has fallen behind reserve Brandon Deaderick in the rotation at defensive tackle.
He was a healthy scratch for last weekend's victory over Minnesota.
