MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) — Police swarmed a Manitowoc neighborhood and four schools were locked down because of a citizen's report of a man with a gun.
As police searched for the alleged gunman Thursday afternoon, they advised Madison and McKinley elementary schools, Wilson Junior High and Immanuel Lutheran to shelter in place.
WBAY-TV (http://tinyurl.com/om666m4 ) says police eventually located a 20-year-old man who had been carrying a pellet gun. The lockdowns were lifted. And the man was cited for carrying the gun without a case.
