LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Henderson State University has received a $771,000 grant to expand a public school collaboration program in Arkadelphia.
An AT&T education initiative announced the award Thursday to expand the Southwest Arkansas College Preparatory Academy. The university program was one of 30 recipients nationwide.
The academy was developed to boost standardized test scores as well as increase college attendance and graduation rates. It will use the grant funding to hire more educators and teach more students.
