Naples law school welcomes new dean

NAPLES, Fla. (AP) — Ave Maria University's School of Law has officially welcomed its new dean.

Fifty-two-year-old Kevin Cieply was recognized in a ceremony on Wednesday at the Naples-based school.

Cieply began his duties on July 1 after spending the bulk of his career in the military. He was previously associate dean at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta.

He graduated from Northern Kentucky University. The retired Army colonel was a helicopter pilot, company commander and a Judge Advocate General officer.
