HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — About 200 elementary school students will get a crash course on water at Marshall University.
The university's College of Science is hosting its second annual Water Festival on Friday. The goal is to give children a fun way of learning where water comes from, where it goes and why it's important to health and well-being.
A secondary goal is to give students a broader understanding of the types of science careers available to them.
In addition to Marshall faculty, representatives from several state agencies and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will lead the activities.
