INCHEON, South Korea (AP) — World records have been set in archery and shooting at the Asian Games.
South Korea's women's archery team scored a record 238 points in the compound 24 arrows match on Thursday, while China's men's team notched a new mark of 1,876 points in the 50-meter rifle prone event.
Six days into the games, a total of 10 new world marks have been set, seven of them in weightlifting.
A number of new Asian records have also been set, including Japanese swimmer Kosuke Hagino's time of 1:55.34 in the men's 200-meter individual medley and the Chinese men's swimming team's time of 3:13.47 in the 4x100 freestyle relay.
The quadrennial Asian Games draws nearly 10,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions competing in 42 different sports.
