UNITED NATIONS (AP) — A new U.N. Security Council resolution is aimed at limiting the flow of fighters to terror groups like the Islamic State. The resolution, adopted unanimously today, requires all countries to prevent the recruitment and transport of the fighters. President Barack Obama presided over the Council when the vote was taken.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Islamic State group is being hit again with airstrikes. The Pentagon says the U.S. and its Arab allies are carrying out more airstrikes in Syria against the militants. The strikes are a continuation of the broader military campaign that began Monday against the militant group.

CANADENSIS, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania State Police say officers believe they spotted the suspect accused in the fatal ambush of a trooper, but it was from a distance and he eluded them. Officials say officers saw a man they believe to be Eric Frein (freen) as recently as Tuesday. It's the first time authorities have reported possibly laying eyes on the 31-year-old suspect.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — President Barack Obama is expanding a marine preserve in the Pacific Ocean to six times its current size. That's according to White House officials who say he'll sign the proclamation tomorrow. The expanded Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument will make roughly 490,000 square miles off limits to drilling, fishing and other actions that could threaten wildlife.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is on the campaign trail, backing Republicans in the midterm elections while reinforcing his relationships in critical 2016 presidential primary states. It allows Bush to offer his own prescription for the nation's ills. Bush says he'll make a decision on a White House bid by the end of the year. He was in North Carolina today.
