NEW YORK (AP) — A law enforcement official says the Secret Service is having preliminary discussions about setting up security screening checkpoints near public areas around the White House. The official says it's been discussed before but the talks have taken on added urgency following an incident Friday in which a man jumped over a fence and made it to a building entrance.

BEAR, Del. (AP) — Authorities say they don't know what caused a bus carrying dozens of people to crash and overturn in northern Delaware this afternoon, leaving one woman dead and several other people injured. Officials say the accident did not involve other vehicles. The National Transportation Safety Board will open an investigation into the crash.

BOSTON (AP) — Officials say at least seven people are being treated for injuries after a boat caught fire at a dock in Boston. A Fire Department spokesman says the 38-foot boat had just finished fueling at a dock in the city's Charlestown neighborhood this evening when it burst into flames. He says one person suffered burns to both legs. He didn't know the nature of the other injuries.

CANADENSIS, Pa. (AP) —The suspect in the deadly ambush of two Pennsylvania state troopers a little over a week ago is still on the loose but police believe they're hot on his trail. The search continues in an area of rugged forests in northeast Pennsylvania where Eric Frein (freen) grew up. Police have found Items belonging to him in the woods -- including an assault rifle and ammunition.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — All five men man who escaped from a county jail in central California on Friday are back behind bars. The Madera County sheriff says deputies apprehended the last escapee on Sunday after receiving an anonymous phone tip. The other four men were taken into custody late Saturday night, also following an anonymous phone tip.
