OREM, Utah (AP) — The Utah Highway Patrol says three women were hospitalized, four other people received minor injuries and a horse was euthanized after a weekend crash involving a passenger vehicle and a pickup hauling a horse trailer on Interstate 15 near Orem.

Trooper Evan Kirby tells the Deseret News (http://bit.ly/1moyJWj ) the women were in a vehicle that struck a concrete barrier and was then hit by the pickup and trailer about 11 a.m. Sunday.

The women were transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. Kirby says one has serious injuries.

The trooper says four people in the truck received minor injuries when passenger restraint airbags deployed.

Kirby says a veterinarian treated three horses in the trailer.

Two weren't seriously hurt, but one had to be euthanized.
