CANADENSIS, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania State Police say they are taking "extreme precautionary measures" as they search a heavily wooded region of the Pocono Mountains for the suspect in last week's deadly ambush at a state police barracks. Spokeswoman Maria Finn says troopers are determined to find 31-year-old Eric Frein (freen) and bring him to justice. A shelter-in-place order is in effect for two townships in the area where Frein lived with his parents.
FREETOWN, Sierra Leone (AP) — A police official says health workers in Sierra Leone have come under attack while trying to bury the bodies of five Ebola victims east of the capital. A witness told state television the burial team had to flee, abandoning the bodies in the street until reinforcements arrived. Police say the burial was successfully completed. Sierra Leone's government has placed the country on a lockdown intended to stop the spread of Ebola.
SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Yemen's top security body has imposed an overnight curfew in parts of the capital after Shiite rebels took over the state TV building amid heavy clashes. All three state TV networks are off the air, and witnesses say the building is on fire. Days of clashes between the rebels and Sunni militiamen have left more than 140 dead and prompted thousands to flee.
BALTIMORE (AP) — The Baltimore Ravens say more than 7,000 fans showed up to exchange their Ray Rice jerseys for those of other Ravens players during a two-day event at Baltimore's home stadium. A team spokesman says the Ravens spent "six figures" on the trade-in, though he declined to disclose an exact figure.
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — The Navy is focusing on bystander intervention as they try to combat the problem of sexual assault. With many assaults linked to alcohol use, Navy leaders are encouraging sailors to step in and stop the chain of events when they see shipmates headed in a bad direction. Petty Officer 1st Class Valerie Arellano, a sexual assault victim advocate aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, says it's important sailors look out for each other.
