CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — Police searching for a University of Virginia student say they have a new person of interest and have issued search warrants for a car and an off-campus apartment in Charlottesville.
According to media reports, police said Friday they have not made any arrests in connection with the disappearance of Hannah E. Graham. The northern Virginia 18-year-old was last seen by friends one week ago.
Police Chief Timothy Longo has scheduled a news conference for later Friday.
The search warrants were for a vehicle police seized early Friday. Based on a search of the vehicle, police also secured a search warrant for an apartment linked to the vehicle and the person of interest.
The apartment search was expected to take hours.
