SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — Schools have been closed again today in the area of northeastern Pennsylvania where a manhunt continues for a seventh day.

Authorities are looking for a survivalist who is suspected of killing a state police trooper a week ago. Scores of police are again trying to flush Eric Frein (freen) out of the dense, swampy woodland where he's believed to be hiding.

They say they're eliminating possible hiding places, including hunting cabins, campsites and other occasional residences in the Pocono Mountains.

An intense late-night search overnight concentrated on the area around Frein's parents' home. Roads were blocked, and residents were temporarily kept away.

Frein is charged with killing Cpl. Bryon Dickson in a late-night ambush last week outside the Blooming Grove barracks. He was added yesterday to the FBI's 10 most wanted list.
