ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Police say they have arrested a University of Georgia student accused of making a threatening post on social media that prompted the evacuation of a building on the Athens campus.

University of Georgia Police Department Lt. Eric Dellinger says 19-year-old Ariel Omar Arias was arrested Friday. Police have obtained warrants charging Arias with two felony counts of terroristic threats, authorities said.

It's not clear if Arias has an attorney.

He also has received an interim suspension from the school, Dellinger says.

The Zell B. Miller Learning Center was evacuated for about an hour Friday afternoon after several students reported the threat. Authorities have not specified what it said.

UGA Police say Arias told authorities the incident was a prank and he had no motive to commit violent acts.
