EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway broke his left hand in last weekend's game against the New England Patriots and is questionable for the game on Sunday at New Orleans.
Coach Mike Zimmer announced on Wednesday that Greenway had the injury. The veteran linebacker did not practice on Wednesday and said later that he was not sure if he would be able to play.
Greenway was wearing a plastic brace on his arm and said it was a different kind of injury than the right wrist problem that bothered him last season.
The Vikings are particularly thin at linebacker and can ill afford to lose Greenway for too long. If he can't go, second-year man Gerald Hodges could see more playing time in his place.
