NEW YORK (AP) — New York City is launching a healthy eating initiative at 11 prekindergarten schools.
Children and parents are taking part in a food demonstration Wednesday afternoon. It will feature recipes from a U.S. agriculture department curriculum called "Grow it, Try it, Like it."
The program uses kid-friendly activities to encourage the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables.
