RENO, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County sheriff's deputies are looking for the thieves who made off with thousands of dollars' worth of barbed-wire fencing surrounding private property in the Virginia Foothills southeast of Reno.
County spokesman Bob Harmon says that sometime over the past week, someone cut large amount of barbed-wire surrounding 80 acres of property on Marango Road. He says a number of posts also were damaged.
Detectives estimate total damage to be in the range of $30,000.
