OGDEN, Utah (AP) — The city of Ogden is providing free wireless internet throughout its downtown area.
The city announced the service Tuesday.
Ogden IT manager Andy Lefgren says the WiFi network offers citizens Internet access that's four times faster than most homes.
The network is available now between 21st Street to 22nd Street and Washington Blvd. and Grant Ave.
City officials hope to expand the wireless network throughout the entire downtown area by December 2016.
Internet provider WebNX is providing hardware and infrastructure for the project.
