RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Biggest Little City in the World is about to get a new neighbor: the biggest lithium battery factory in the world. Gov. Brian Sandoval says the Tesla Motors factory will create more than 22,000 new jobs and pump $100 billion into the state's economy over the next 20 years. Sandoval's package of tax breaks and incentives worth as much as $1.3 billion still must be approved by the Legislature.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Officials say a flash fire that injured 13 people at a Reno science museum happened when an employee applied the chemicals in the wrong order during a demonstration about the mechanics of tornadoes. Firefighters said a three- to five-second blaze erupted Wednesday at the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say a homeless woman shot and killed a man who was allowing her to stay at his home. Police say Marjorie Fiora shot year-old Joseph Levine late Wednesday. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Police arrested Fiora in the backyard of a nearby home.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The former fiancee of Floyd Mayweather Jr. claims in a civil lawsuit that the superstar boxer beat her during their relationship and later publicly humiliated her by posting on social media a sonogram of her pregnancy and saying they broke up because she got an abortion.
