CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — Police in Chapel Hill have released information on their investigation of the beating death of a University of North Carolina student two years ago.
Police have made no arrests in the Sept. 7, 2012, death of 19-year-old Faith Hedgepath at an apartment complex.
Investigators found her partially nude body leaning against a bed. Medical examiners say she died from blows to the head. Investigators say she and her roommate had gone out and returned to the apartment together, and then the roommate left alone.
Police Chief Chris Blue said Thursday he is asking for the public to provide any information it might have to help in the investigation.
Investigators have executed a number of search warrants and court orders for computers, phones, social media accounts and financial records.
