ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — Authorities in southern Utah have arrested a St. George man accused of repeatedly calling a local FBI office and threatening agents. The Spectrum of St. George reports 49-year-old Robert Zickella is being held on a threat of terrorism charge after his Sunday arrest. The attorney assigned to defend Zickella said he had no details about the case yesterday.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah doctor convicted in November of killing his wife is set to be sentenced later this month. A judge in Provo set the long-awaited sentencing hearing for Martin MacNeill for Sept. 19. He faces 15 years to life in prison in the 2007 death of his wife, Michelle MacNeill.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The state's most high-profile political race this year will soon spill onto Utah televisions. Republican Mia Love and Democrat Doug Owens have spent a combined half a million dollars on campaign ads set to start airing Sept. 15. If she wins in November, Love will become the first black female Republican ever to serve in Congress.

DRAPER, Utah (AP) — Some 200 people gathered to share happy memories of a Draper police officer who was shot and killed on duty a year ago. Draper Mayor Troy Walker proclaimed Sept. 1 an official day of remembrance for the 32-year-old Sgt. Derek Johnson. Johnson was killed Sept. 1, 2013 when he stopped to check on what appeared to be a disabled vehicle.
