LAS VEGAS (AP) — The former THEhotel on the campus of Mandalay Bay has officially taken on its new identity as The Delano Las Vegas (DELL'-uh-no).

Officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the renovated property Tuesday.

The 1,100-room, all-suite hotel underwent an $80 million makeover this summer and was rebranded after the Delano hotel in South Beach, Florida.

New touches include airy, white decor in the bedrooms and two massive boulders from the Nevada desert in the grand entryway. The Delano also features new restaurants including the Franklin lounge, Della's Kitchen for breakfast and lunch and the 3940 Coffee + Tea bar.

The hotel has stayed open under its old name while the renovations took place.
