BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Alexander Granados has been named the next president of Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham.
Granados most recently served as vice president of academic affairs at The Master's College in Santa Clarita, California, according to al.com (http://bit.ly/1rF7g58 ).
A native of Colombia, Granados was named professor of the year by The Master's College in 2012. He has a doctorate in intercultural education from Biola University and a master of theology and a master of divinity from The Master's Seminary.
Board of Trustees Chairman Mike McLemore says Granados "embodies personally the mission statement of Southeastern Bible College which is to 'produce graduates that are biblically grounded, spiritually mature and culturally relevant.'"
Granados takes over for Don Hawkins, who served for 13 years as president before retiring this year. Granados begins Monday.
