POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A polygamous man who ran a Pocatello home where nine boys were sent on repentance missions by FLDS leader Warren Jeffs has pleaded guilty to three counts of child abuse. After Nathan Jessop entered his plea yesterday he was sentenced to 10 days in jail and two years' probation. Jessop is the son of Merril Jessop, who is serving 10 years in a Texas prison for presiding over the marriage of his then-12-year-old daughter to Jeffs. Jeffs is in a Texas prison.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Twin Falls County officials are working on a new ordinance that will allow loaded guns in county parks. The Times-News reports that commissioners say the move is needed to bring county laws in line with state law. Workers have already removed signs prohibiting firearms. The new ordinance doesn't allow the firing of guns in county parks except in self-defense.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Wildlife officials say a mountain lion attacked a dog in the backyard of a home on the west side of Boise. Idaho Fish and Game officials say it's likely a yearling lion on its own for the first time. The agency says the German shorthaired pointer survived and is being treated for its injuries.

ATLANTA (AP) — No. 18 Mississippi pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Boise State 35-13 last night. Ole Miss led only 7-6 entering the fourth quarter before finishing off Boise State when Bo Wallace threw for TDs on three consecutive throws, ruining the debut of new Broncos coach Bryan Harsin.
