LAS VEGAS (AP) — A pair of grandparents from New Hampshire has won $2.4 million at a notoriously stubborn MGM Grand slot machine. Walter Misco played for about five minutes before hitting the jackpot at the 20-year-old "Lion's Share" machine at about 11 p.m. Friday. The 66-year-old retired businessman told reporters yesterday that his wife Linda Misco suggested he play that night. He said the two read about the machine online.

TRUCKEE, Calif. (AP) — Tesla Motors Inc. is building a supercharger station in the Sierra Nevada north of Lake Tahoe where drivers of the company's electric cars can recharge along Interstate 80, a newspaper says. Tesla officials previously announced plans to build a station near Truckee, California, about 30 miles southwest of Reno but hasn't confirmed an exact location or opening date.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Department of Wildlife has announced that officials have found quagga mussel DNA at the South Fork Recreation Area. Fisheries Division Administrator Jon Sjöberg tells KTVN scientists don't consider the reservoir to be infested. But he said Friday they're taking steps to limit any possible spread of the mussels. Sjöberg adds that officials have not found adult mussels or larvae in the waterway.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say one man is in the hospital and another is in custody after a stabbing early yesterday morning in downtown Reno. Reno Police Sergeant Alan Salter tells the Gazette-Journal that police responded to the parking lot at the Rancho Sierra Motel at about 3 a.m. Salter says the man in the hospital is in critical condition. He was arrested on drug charges unrelated to the Saturday incident.
