BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Nampa police and Canyon County crime scene investigators have located a body, believed to be that of a missing Nampa woman, buried in a cornfield in southwestern Idaho. Police Chief Craig Kingsbury says it is a high probability that the body found yesterday is that of 37-year-old Selena Thomas. Her boyfriend reportedly confessed to killing her, but has not been charged.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Nearly half of the third-year students at Concordia University School of Law in Boise are taking temporary leave after the university's request for accreditation was delayed. The Idaho Statesman reports that 20 of the 45 third-year students won't take fall classes. Idaho law says students who graduate from a non-accredited law school cannot take the state bar exam. Concordia officials say they have been seeking accreditation since 2013 after the school opened in 2012.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A state agricultural official says Idaho's $17 million in annual agriculture exports to Russia are not likely to be affected by the country's recent ban on U.S. food. Idaho State Department of Agriculture market bureau chief Laura Johnson told The Times-News that 90 percent of what Idaho sends to Russia is live dairy cattle, which are exempt from the embargo.
CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — A 6-foot boa constrictor that was spotting slithering into a vehicle's engine compartment outside an Caldwell shopping center has been reunited with its owner. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports Arline Dougherty says the boa escaped from Dougherty's backyard cage Aug. 4 after her grandson left the lid unlatched. Dougherty suspects the snake slithered into a vehicle's engine compartment and rode the four miles to the WalMart parking lot.
