LAS VEGAS (AP) — A discount air carrier says it will start offering nonstop service again between Las Vegas and the Mexican city of Monterrey.

Mexican company VivaAerobus is launching four nonstop flights a week between the two cities starting December 5. Fares start at $99 each way.

The new flights support the Las Vegas airport's efforts to attract more international travelers, who tend to stay longer and spend more while they're in town.

McCarran International Airport officials say their international passenger traffic has jumped 40 percent since 2009.
