STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi State University's Center for Resolving Human-Wildlife Conflicts has added two staff members who will focus on controlling the state's wild hog population.
The university says Cliff Covington and Steven Tucker will coordinate and conduct educational workshops, field days and seminars on wild hog damage mitigation.
Covington has worked for the Mississippi State University Extension Service for 26 years as county agent and coordinator in Claiborne County and as area livestock agent in southwest Mississippi
Tucker has been animal care facilities coordinator for the university's Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture since 2002.
