ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) — The Suffolk County health department has issued an advisory against swimming at 66 beaches because of potential bacteria from runoff.

The advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday.

The measure follows the heavy rainfall on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
