OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — There's officially a library on wheels traveling around Omaha.
The Omaha Public Library launched its book bike Tuesday. It's a variation on the traditional bookmobile that involves a bicycle and an attached trailer with books.
The Omaha World-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1mk3WnL ) the public is allowed to check out books from the trailer and use an iPad to sign up for a library card. The bike will be at various events around Omaha, including street fairs, parades and festivals.
Officials say the bike is another form of outreach to the public.
