ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning officials are offering tips to parents whose children are involved in one of the state's pre-kindergarten programs.
Assistant Commissioner for Georgia's pre-K program Susan Adams says parents should dress children in clothes and shoes they can independently manage, try finding restrooms near their child's class and inform teachers of any allergies or dietary restrictions their children have.
Adams says parents should also build extra time into the first day and make sure there's time to say goodbye before class begins.
