SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Tommy Murphy singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as the Salt Lake Bees defeated the Fresno Grizzlies 7-to-6 last night. Adam Pavkovich opened the inning with a single to center, advanced to third on a single by Reggie Willits and scored when Murphy hit a bouncer over the head of Fresno pitcher Brandon Villafuerte. Murphy was playing his first game for Salt Lake after being optioned down by the Angels. He had three hits to lead the Bees offense, while Jeff Mathis added two hits and two runs batted in. Howie Kendrick doubled in the fifth to extend his hitting streak to eleven games.
