LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Southern California have arrested a 54-year-old man who they say admitted to killing his roommate a few days earlier in Las Vegas after a dispute over the rent.
Authorities say Martin Skropeta has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is awaiting extradition back to Nevada.
Las Vegas police say they got a call from their counterparts in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning asking for them to check a house on Elm Drive. They said a suicidal man had called them saying he killed his roommate there a few days ago.
Officers who checked the Las Vegas home found a woman dead in a bathtub.
Las Vegas police say they traveled to Los Angeles to interview Skropeta, and arrested him in connection with the death.
