ALLENDALE, Mich. (AP) — The Grand Valley State University Board of Trustees has voted to increase tuition by $149 per semester.
The school in Allendale says the 2.9 percent increase approved Friday brings annual tuition to $10,752 for a full-time undergraduate Michigan resident.
The school also approved the budget for the 2015 fiscal year. It says that includes $38 million for student financial aid, up $3.1 million.
The Board of Trustees also approved a new major in entrepreneurship. And it approved the authorization of Light of the World Academy in Pinckney, a charter school that will serve kindergarten to sixth grade in its first year and kindergarten to eighth grade later.
