LAS VEGAS (AP) — A jury has found a 34-year-old North Las Vegas man guilty of using Craigslist to lure a child for sex last year. The U.S. Attorney's office says Sergio Torres was convicted yesterday of coercion and enticement. He faces at least a decade in prison at his sentencing on October 6. Henderson police say Torres posted an ad saying he was seeking a girl to take his virginity. An undercover detective posing as a 14-year-old girl responded and Torres was arrested on the day he was supposed to meet up with the girl.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A former Las Vegas strip club owner who served prison time for a federal tax evasion conviction seven years ago has been indicted again on charges he tried to evade paying more than $2.5 million in taxes from 2006-11. Rick Rizzolo was arrested yesterday after a grand jury indicted him on two counts of attempt to evade and defeat payment of employment and income taxes. He's due in court today.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Senate has approved legislation intended to launch the long-awaited cleanup of a toxic, abandoned manganese mine in Henderson. The Three Kids Mine first opened in 1917 and was used for government storage after it closed in 1961. It covers more than 1,200 acres within Henderson's city limits across the street from homes and businesses.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Reno-Tahoe Open has landed a new title sponsor and is changing its name to the Barracuda Championship under a four-year, multi-million-dollar deal with California-based Barracuda Networks. This year's tournament has a $3 million purse and is set for July 31-Aug. 3 at Montreux Golf & Country Club between Reno and Lake Tahoe.
