LONDON (AP) — Novak Djokovic (JOH'-koh-vihch) won his second Wimbledon title yesterday with a 6-7, 7-4, 7-6, 5-7, 6-4 win over Roger Federer. His previous win came in 2011. For Federer, the loss denied him a record eighth Wimbledon championship.

LONDON (AP) — The new WTA rankings are out and newly crowned Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic (JOH'-koh-vihch) has taken over the top spot in the world rankings. The man he beat in the final, Roger Federer, is now No. 3 with Rafael Nadal second.

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — It didn't take the International Olympic Committee very long to come up with its final three cities for consideration for the 2022 Winter Games. The reason is simple as there are only three cities left in the bidding: Oslo, Norway; Beijing, China and Almaty, Kazakhstan. When the process began there were six cities in the hunt.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A trial begins today in Los Angeles to determine if the estranged wife of L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling can sell the team or not. Shelly Sterling has worked out a $2 billion sale of the NBA franchise to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

UNDATED (AP) — The third stage of the Tour de France is today in England. This is the final portion of the race in England before it heads to France. The yellow jersey, symbolic of being the overall race leader, is held by Italy's Vincenzo Nibali.
