LONDON (AP) — Play at Wimbledon resumes tomorrow after taking a day off today. The first week wreaked havoc with the women's draw as the top two seeds were eliminated. Serena Williams was a loser yesterday while second see Li Na (lee nah) was bounced earlier in the week.

UNDATED (AP) — The U.S. World Cup team continues to get ready for its knockout round match with Belgium. The contest is slated to be played Tuesday. In today's first game Mexico is facing the Netherlands while in the second match Costa Rica is going against Greece.

HOUSTON (AP) — The second leg of the Grand Prix of Houston IndyCar race doubleheader is today. Carlos Huertas raced to his first IndyCar Series victory yesterday and in today's qualifying Helio Castroneves (EHL'-ee-oh cas-troh-NEHV'-us) was the fastest.

ROGERS, Ark. (AP) — U.S. Open champ Michelle Wie (wee) begins play today in first place at the LPGA's Arkansas Championship. She finished play yesterday on top by two shots as after back-to-back 66's she stood 10-under. So Yeon Ryu (soh yahn yoo) is alone in second at 8-under while four players, including Americans Angela Stanford and Cristie Kerr, are tied for third at 7-under.

UNDATED (AP) — The lone night game in baseball has the Yankees wrapping up a home series with the Red Sox. This is the third game of the set and the American League East clubs have split the first two. Pitching-wise tonight the Red Sox are using John Lackey while the Yankees counter with Chase Witley.
