KLAGENFURT, Austria (AP) — Triathletes Linsey Corbin of Bend, Oregon, and Ivan Rana of Spain won the Ironman Austria on Sunday.

Corbin also won the event in 2012. She finished the swimming, cycling and marathon in 8 hours, 42 minutes, 42 seconds. She beat the course record set by fellow American Mary Beth Ellis in 2012 by 56 seconds.

Simone Braendli of Switzerland, the fastest swimmer, was the runner-up, 6:34 behind. Lisa Huetthaler of Austria was third. Corbin led Huetthaler by four seconds starting the marathon.

Rana won the men's race in a personal best of 7:48:43. He beat Christian Kramer of Germany by 5:48. David Plese of Slovenia was third.

Rana took the lead after 87 miles of cycling and stayed ahead. He finished sixth at last year's world championship in Hawaii.
