London (dpa) - Pop star Kylie Minogue made her first stage appearance since being diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago, appearing for just 20 seconds at a London nightclub, press reports said Monday.
The 38-year-old Australian singer came on stage at the end of a performance by her younger sister Dannii at London's Astoria.
"Hold on a minute, I've got a surprise for you," announced Danii, leading her older sister on to the stage to rapturous applause.
Kylie, with cropped hair, gave a 20-second presentation of singing the chorus to Dannii's hit single Jump To The Beat - which she had omitted from her set.
Minogue revealed that she had cancer in May 2005 and underwent surgery in Australia two days later.
She was forced to abandon her Showgirl world tour and an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival in Britain after her diagnosis.
The singer completed her chemotherapy in December 2005, but still receives treatment to prevent a return of the cancer.
