WEBB CITY, Mo. (AP) — Crowder College says three donations will help fund construction of a $6 million building on its Webb City campus.
The college, based in Neosho, announced Tuesday that it received $70,000 from the Freeman Health System, $20,000 from Southwest Missouri Bank and $25,000 from longtime Webb City resident Ed Scorse.
Cyndi Adamson, director of the Webb City campus, says the donations help the college close in on its goal of raising $1.5 million and taking advantage of matching funds.
The Joplin Globe reports (http://bit.ly/UJ3Jni ) the project will include classroom space, a safe room, and an occupational therapy assistant program.
Freeman is sponsoring an occupational therapy suite to train students to provide services to people with physical, emotional and other challenges.
