CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — Education Professor Sarah T. Lubienski has been named the interim dean 'designate' of the University of Illinois' Graduate College.
In a news release, the university says Lubienski will begin her term as interim dean 'designate" on July 1 and will become interim dean if she wins the approval of the university's board of trustees at the board's July 23 meeting in Chicago.
Her selection was made after consultation with faculty and staffers, the Council of Deans and Urbana Chancellor Phyllis M. Wise. The move follows the announcement that Dean Deba Dutta accepted the position of provost at Purdue University.
Lubienski is a professor of curriculum and instruction who has been on the faculty since 2004 and has served as associate dean of the Graduate College since 2012.
