RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Chile's football federation says it has been fined by FIFA for ticketless fans breaking through security barriers at Maracana Stadium.

The Chilean federation did not specify the size of the sanction in a statement on its website.

FIFA has not yet announced the ruling from its disciplinary committee.

More than 80 Chile fans were detained by stadium staff in the security breach before their team's 2-0 win against Spain last Wednesday.

The fans stormed the Maracana media center and broke down partition walls seeking a way to the pitch.

Brazilian authorities ordered the fans to leave the country within 72 hours or face arrest.

The Chilean federation says FIFA declined to impose sanctions for fans lighting fireworks in the Cuiaba stadium during its 3-1 win against Australia on June 13.
