ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — Authorities say they believe alcohol and speed were factors in a St. George crash that severely injured a teenage girl.

The 15-year-old driver flipped the Ford Explorer in St. George at about 10 p.m. Monday, hitting a chain-link fence.

Four passengers, all teenage boys, went to the hospital with minor injuries. One of the boys was thrown from the vehicle in the crash.

Emergency workers pulled the 15-year-old girl from car. She is reported to be in a Las Vegas hospital with severe head trauma.

Police say underage drinking charges could be filed in connection with the accident.

St. George police Sgt. Dave Williams tells the Spectrum of St. George (http://bit.ly/1lnQPFt) an investigation continues.
