SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The founder of a Mormon women's group who is facing excommunication held a vigil last night in Salt Lake City along with about 200 of her supporters. As the leader of Ordain Women, Kelly is accused of apostasy, which is repeated and public advocacy of positions that oppose church teachings. The bishop in Kelly's former congregation will likely notify her of his decision on excommunication by today.
MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — In contrast to the rancor and divisions during the Idaho Republican convention the previous week, state Democrats held a convention that showed camaraderie and unity. Idaho Democrats concluded their two-day convention on Saturday, with all 175 voting delegates and proxies unanimously adopting a party platform that stressed education and the economy.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Boise woman has won a substantial prize in the Idaho lottery for the second time in three years. Massage therapist Boni Hutchinson-Ennis most recently claimed a $250,000 top prize on the Scratch Game Idaho. Three years ago, Hutchinson-Ennis won $100,000 on the Idaho Lottery's Black Ticket.
SUN VALLEY, Idaho (AP) — Sun Valley Resort is offering a new ski pass for next season. The new College Season Pass is being sold for $359 during the "early buy" period that began on Saturday. The pass offers unlimited skiing during Sun Valley's 79th winter season.
