NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Southern University at New Orleans will offer an ACT Compass Prep Camp July 7-22 for prospective college freshmen to receive tutoring in reading, writing and mathematics.
The program is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day and is designed to help students achieve a higher score in English and math on ACT Compass, which can be used for admission and enrollment to four-year colleges and universities.
Camp fees are waived for students who use their ACT Compass scores for admission to SUNO. Housing, extracurricular activities and meals are included for those who wish to stay on campus.
To qualify for the camp, students must have graduated from high school, completed the Louisiana Core 4 curriculum, have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher and scored at least a 15 on the English and math sections of the ACT.
