JERUSALEM (AP) — Officials say two more Palestinians have been killed as Israel searches for three missing teens who the Israelis say have been kidnapped by the militant Hamas. The army says a Palestinian man was killed in the Nablus area when he approached soldiers in a threatening manner. And a Palestinian hospital official says a Palestinian man was killed in Ramallah where Palestinians clashed with Israeli soldiers and Palestinian police. The circumstances of the man's death are uncertain.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Officials say an armed South Korean soldier is being sought near the border with North Korea after a deadly shooting. Officials say the soldier fled after killing five of his comrades and wounding seven at an outpost near the border.

BAGHDAD (AP) — A sectarian showdown may loom in Iraq. Sunni insurgents led by an al-Qaida breakaway group have captured three strategic towns and the first border crossing with Syria to fall on the Iraqi side. Meanwhile, thousands of heavily armed Shiite militiamen — eager to take on the Sunni insurgents — marched through Iraqi cities in military-style parades Saturday.

MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK, Wash. (AP) — Washington state officials are working to identify the remains of a female found in an area of Mount Rainier National Park where a prominent outdoors writer is missing. At the same time, the search for 70-year-old Karen Sykes has been suspended. She was reportedly working on a story when she and her hiking partner separated.

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Residents of a home in Alaska's state capital found themselves with an uninvited guest, a black bear that had apparently lumbered through the front door of a home. Alaska authorities say they shot and killed the animal after officers spotted the bear in the two-story home in Juneau's downtown.
