WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) — Nadjib Mohammedi stopped Anatoliy Dudchenko in the seventh round Saturday night to move into position to challenge Bernard Hopkins for the IBF light heavyweight title.
Mohammedi improved to 36-3 with his 21st knockout. Dudchenko dropped to 18-3.
Also, lightweight Karl Dargan (16-0) retained the USBA Atlantic Coast Region title, stopping Anthony Flores (11-5-1) in the fifth round.
