ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Jojo Warrior won the $200,000 Summertime Oaks for 3-year-old fillies by 5 1/2 lengths for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert at Santa Anita on Saturday.
Ridden by Martin Garcia, Jojo Warrior wore blinkers for the first time and ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:36.38. She paid $8.40, $4.80 and $3.80.
Live for Now returned $13 and $8, while Baffert-trained Front Range was another length back in third and paid $4.20 to show.
The victory, worth $120,000, increased Jojo Warrior's career earnings to $200,781, with two wins in five starts.
